With so many pressing issues facing our society and limited time to help make a difference, the Junior League of Brooklyn continues to be a preeminent women's volunteer organization and a grand resource for cause-related collaborations. Through our organized community projects, mentoring, job skills training, youth empowerment initiatives and signature events the JLB creates opportunities for sponsors, volunteers and donors to get involved.
BELLE AND BEAU OF THE BALL
The Belle & Beau of the Ball (BBoB) is an annual dress drive and college scholarship program to provide formal attire for teenage girls preparing for senior prom, graduation and other formal events. The Program culminates with a Day of Beauty - a dress and accessories giveaway with mini style makeovers and a presentation of scholarship awards. Click here to learn more about BBoB.
Our most recent event was held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at The Crown School. Please check back for pictures and information regarding our 10th Anniversary to be celebrated in Spring 2018.

KIDS IN THE KITCHEN
The goal of the Junior Leagues' Kids in the Kitchen initiative (KITK) is to empower youth and families to make healthy lifestyle choices and help reverse the growth of childhood obesity and its associated health issues. Our annual “Kids in the Kitchen Nutrition Fair” connects the community with groups providing advice or access to information about living a healthy lifestyle. Click here to learn more about KITK.
